What are PRP injections?

  • Platelet-rich plasma injections, or PRP, is a procedure in which a physician injects a patient with their own blood that has been centrifuged into a concentrated form of platelets.

What are the benefits of PRP?

  • PRP is rich in growth factors and healing factors responsible for rejuvenation.  PRP is a safe, effective, and innovative treatment option for skin rejuvenation, hair loss, and pain management.  The advantages of PRP therapy compared to other procedures include reduced downtime and improved outcomes.

How is PRP prepared?

  • PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of the client's blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets.  These activated platelets are then injected directly into your intended treatment area.

What is PRP used for?

  • PRP is a safe, effective, and innovative treatment option for hair loss, skin rejuvenation, temporary natural 2-3 month filler for volume loss, pain management for tendons and arthritis, and much more.

What are the effects of PRP on the skin?

  • PRP therapy rejuvenates the skin by injecting your own blood plasma under the dermal skin layer to stimulate cell growth and collagen production.  It promises to improve complexion and texture and restore lost facial volume.

What is the cost of PRP?

  • Here at Oasis, our aim is to offer all procedures at affordable prices for our clients.  Our prices are below average nationwide and performed by reputable, exceptionally trained providers.  Face and hair PRP is $800 for 1 treatment or $2200 for a package of 3 treatments.

Are PRP injections painful?

  • PRP is injected under the dermis.  Pain is controlled with numbing cream 30 minutes prior to the procedure.  Mild tolerable discomfort is expected.

What the aftercare instructions for PRP injections?

  • Apply a cold compress a few times a day for 10 minutes for pain and swelling.

  • Avoid fatty foods, coffee, and alcohol.

  • Avoid anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g. steroids, NSAIDs) for 2-3 days before and after the treatment.

When will I see results from PRP?

  • Since PRP stimulates your body to produce its own natural collagen, the results are gradual.  You will start to see results about one month after your treatment, with full results at three months.

How many treatments do I need?

  • We generally recommend 2-3 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for you to achieve the best results.
